Candler Park is a vibrant neighborhood in intown Atlanta, in zip code 30307, about 5 minutes east of downtown and just south of Ponce De Leon Avenue. The City is located in east DeKalb County and borders Little Five Points, Lake Clair, Inman Park, Druid Hills and Edgewood.
This National Register of Historic Places neighborhood is one of Atlanta’s first suburbs and was founded as Edgewood in 1890.
The neighborhood is home to many talented people, great shops, bars and everything eclectic. It’s a family-friendly neighborhood with a focus on walk-ability and livability. MARTA rapid transit rail service is available at the Edgewood/Candler Park station.
For a unique shopping experience, there is an interesting cluster of local retail stores and businesses near the intersection of McLendon and Clifton Road. Art Galleries and Gift Stores include Donna Van Gogh’s Artist Market, gallery1526 and the Moog Gallery & Custom Framing. Kelly’s Closet specializes in women’s vintage clothing and bridal gowns.
Full Moon Records offers a wide range of vinyl and CD releases. For dining options, the Flying Biscuit Cafe is THE place to be on weekend mornings. Nearby restaurants also include Gato Bizco Café, Fellini’s Pizza, La Fonda Latina and others.

Candler Park is an expansive green space that includes a public swimming pool, soccer field, tennis courts and pavilions for group activities. The Park is home to the annual Sweetwater 420 Festival in Spring and the Candler Park Fall Fest.
The Candler Park Neighborhood Organization puts on an annual festival in Candler Park known as Fall Fest. This is popular festival attended by 10,000 people, and includes a great band line-up, artists’ market, children’s activities, 5K road race, tour of homes, and more.
