Ancient worlds await you at the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the campus of Emory University. Maintaining the largest collection of ancient art in the Southeast, the Museum houses more than 16, ooo objects ranging from 9,ooo year-old idols to contemporary photographs.
From the Egyptian Gallery to the Classical Court to the Ancient American and African galleries, the Museum is a unique treasure among Atlanta’s cultural attractions. The Museum offers exciting special exhibitions throughout the year drawn from its own collections and from others around the world. 
There is always something new to see.
The handsome architecture of the building boasting a design by renowned architect Michael Graves-provides a warm, intimate environment that reflects and complements the works of art within it.
The Michael C. Carlos Museum is located on the main Quadrangle of Emory University, near the university entrance on North Decatur Road at Oxford Road. Visitor parking is available in the Boisfeullet Jones Visitor Lot off Dowman Drive, the main entrance road, or you may take your first right entering the campus and proceed to Fishhurne Parking Deck.
The Museum is located at 571 South Kilgo Circle, Atlanta, Georgia 30322.
Free parking is also allowed anywhere on campus except in 24-hour restricted areas or reserved spaces.
Public Transportation: MARTA bus line 6 Emory from Candler Park & Lindbergh stations or 36 North Decatur from Avondale and Arts Center stations.
HOURS: Monday – Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m; Sunday: 12 noon – 5 p.m; Closed major holidays.
