Atlanta’s DeKalb County is Georgia’s third largest county with more than 700,000 residents. The County consists of Avondale Estates, Chamblee, Clarkston, Decatur, Doraville, Dunwoody, Lithonia, Pine Lake, Stone Mountain, areas of Atlanta and many unique, identifiable communities. DeKalb County is home to some of the most vibrant, eclectic neighborhoods in the Atlanta area.

DeKalb Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) was established in 1984 as a non-membership bureau funded by the hotel/motel tax. Our mission is to promote DeKalb County as a destination across the Southeast and implement programs to attract leisure travelers and family reunions to stay overnight in DeKalb County hotels.

Tourism plays a vital role in the local economy and benefits local hotels, attractions, restaurants and retail shops. While tourist activity means more jobs created, more revenue for the county and economic gains for local commerce, money brought into the county also translates into a tax break for DeKalb County residents.

DCVB attracts visitors to DeKalb County by creating special programs & promotions, online marketing, advertising, public relations, sales campaigns and Reunion Services. We promote directly to leisure travel reunion coordinators, event planners and group travel managers.
