If you are looking for authentic home-style Southern cuisine, Matthews Cafeteria has been doing it right since 1955.

Located in the newly renovated and revitalized Tucker Main Street area, Matthews Cafeteria has been dishing out some of the best home-style cooking before most of us were even born.

Matthews is a no-nonsense diner with a casual atmosphere and a focus on the food. The inside décor and settings resemble a Southern old-fashioned small town cafeteria. Diners have been coming here for years and return often for their delicious food and generous portions.

Lunch and Dinner options change throughout the week and include Bar-b-q Ribs, Chicken Livers, Country Fried Steak, Meatloaf, Pork Loin and of course, their famous Fried Chicken, among others. Sides include Turnip Greens, Cabbage, Rutabagas, Green Beans and other favorites.

Matthews Cafeteria is a place where you can always count on good food and great company. Enjoy a great lunch and take some extra time to stroll down Tucker Main Street. The area is home to a unique array of shops, restaurants and the Tucker Famers Market, which is open every Thursday, April though October, from 4:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m.
