Don’t miss the 45th Annual Fantastic Fourth Celebration!  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution readers have voted Stone Mountain Park as the best place in Atlanta to enjoy fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday.  Watching the fireworks at Stone Mountain Park is an Atlanta tradition that you have to experience.

Enjoy the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision each night on July 3 & 4 followed by a special, patriotic fireworks finale on both nights. Included with $10 daily parking permit or $35 annual parking permit. Expect large crowds. For more information, visit Stone Mountain Park.

5th Annual DeKalb Family Fun Day Coming Sunday, July 22, 2012

The 5th Annual DeKalb Family Fun Day will include food, live entertainment, activities and vendors for the whole family to enjoy. Along with school supply donations, guests are encouraged to bring chairs and coolers (no alcoholic beverages are allowed) to enjoy the festivities.

Horseback riding, face painting, moonwalks and other games will be available throughout the day for kids to enjoy as well. In previous years, they have had over 2,000 attendees that included children, parents and community members, and it’s constantly growing.

The Event will be held at the Bransby Outdoor YMCA Center at Rock Chapel located at 1185 Rock Chapel Road, Lithonia, GA 30058.

Come cheer on the Atlanta Silverbacks, DeKalb County’s Professional Soccer Team, as they compete against the Puerto Rico Islanders FC on Sports DeKalb Night on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Please stop by the Sports DeKalb Booth during the game for cool stuff and information about Sports DeKalb.

Save the Date! Festival Peachtree Latino Returns on August 26, 2012!

Festival Peachtree Latino, produced by Hispanic Marketing Group, has been the largest family & multicultural Hispanic event in the Southeast since 2000. The festival features live, musical performances from top international artists, ethnic foods, exhibitions, parades, arts & crafts and much more. This year’s festival will be held on August 26, 2012 at the Meadows at Piedmont Park.

Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s “Common Ground” since 1904, is located approximately 2 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The park runs along 10th Street (a block west of 10th & Monroe Avenue to a block east of 10th & Piedmont Avenue) and Piedmont Avenue (12th & Piedmont to just before 15th & Piedmont) in midtown Atlanta.
